We are seeking a Grants Officer to join our company in the Kitchener/Waterloo and Cambridge Region as a part-time employee.
Coordinate, complete, and submit regional, provincial, and federal grants
Work closely with team members to create high-quality grant products
Create a multi-year plan for grant applications
Develops and manages a calendar of research activities including application deadlines, application eligibility, financial payment processes and annual reporting
Track project schedules and deadlines for reporting, and in conjunction with the Treasurer ensure that the deadlines are met.
Assists in the clarification of policies and procedures relating to grants, contracts, overhead and other sources of funding such as operating and trust accounts.
Assists the Treasurer in the preparation of research budgets for major contracts and research grants.
Maintains a record of all project agreements
Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the Treasurer
Attend monthly meetings with all company staff
Partake in regularly scheduled meetings and discussions with the Treasurer
Consistently meet and exceed targets
Be an active part of our team and encourage collaboration
Assist at company events
Strong communication skills

Enthusiastic and trustworthy
18 Years of age or older

Previous Experience working on submitting Grants is an asset
Ability to Prioritize responsibilities with overlapping deadlines

This position is a volunteer position and will not have direct compensation. Bonuses and honorariums can and will be awarded depending on performance and fiscal state of the company.
