For the first time in the City of Cambridge, Vera Causa Opera will bring a summer camp to the Cambridge Centre for the Arts.
Wire Service Press Release (05/10/2017) Waterloo, ON — Vera Causa Opera (VCO) announces its first summer camp in partnership with the City of Cambridge. The camp is designed to develop the participants’ knowledge, creativity, and artistic abilities in all aspects of opera.
The camp will take place July 31 — August 4, 2017 from 9:00 am — 4:00 pm at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts. It is designed for students aged 12 – 18. No prior experience in the arts is required.
The camp will be run by three instructors, each targeting a different discipline: music, dancing, and acting. Each day students will participate in a variety of activities such as individual music coaching, composition, dancing classes, and acting games. Students will also work toward an individual performance that will take place on the last day of camp.

Vera Causa Opera is an innovative opera company and registered charity in the Region of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. VCO attempts to reinstate opera as an accessible and communicative medium through the adaptation of old operas and the composition of new ones.
